Puerto Rico Post 67 of Rincon honoring veteran of 65th Infantry Regiment

Once again, The American Legion of Puerto Rico is working with the 65th Infantry Regiment Motorcycle Association, to coordinate, plan and execute the presentation of the Ambassador of the Peace Medal from the Republic of Korea, and the 65th Infantry Regiment Gold Medal “Borinqueneers to veteran Sigfredo Olmo Bonilla on Thursday, Feb 16, 2023.


Post Commander Carlos E. Bonet, Tania Soto and Marilyn Dykman worked diligently on the details of the ceremony in order to create a pleasant memory of the occasion to the veteran.


Mr. Bonilla showed his appreciation and gratitude to his family, the Motorcycle Association of the 65th Infantry Regiment and the American Legion of Puerto Rico. Several family members of the veteran were able express their gratitude to The American Legion and the admiration and unconditional love to the veteran. Finally, but not less important, veteran Jose Orench Rodriguez received his long-overdue 65th Infantry Regiment Gold Medal Certificate.
