American Legion, Dept. of Puerto Rico Career Fair

The American Legion provides opportunities for job seekers from the military community to meet with employers, network, and interview. This FREE event is presented with the help of our partner, Skillmil.

The Top 3 Reasons to Attend This Event:

1. You will find a variety of industries and skillsets represented at the event.
2. The event will bring together employers and service members of all armed forces, Reserves, the National Guard, military spouses, and veterans ready to work now and those planning for the future.

Jobseekers

Participants will need to present the following upon entry at the Visitor Control Center, Fort Buchanan:

• A valid state or federal-issued ID 
• Vehicle registration, valid proof of insurance, and non-expired Marbete inspection sticker (if driving a vehicle on base)
• Your registration ticket (digital or printed)
• One (1) ticket per participant

Jobseekers

When attending a job fair on base, we recommend arriving early and bringing plenty of resumes. It's also a good idea to research the companies that will be in attendance and make sure your resume is tailored to the positions they are hiring for.

Networking Opportunity Announcement

Our friends at Hiring Our Heroes, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is hosting a Networking Event on June 23rd from 3:30 - 6:00 pm in tandem with our American Legion Career and Workshop Fair at the Fort Buchanan Community Club. Join Hiring Our Heroes for fellowship and networking with transitioning service members, military spouses, and veterans the night before the American Legion Career and Workshop Fair.

The American Legion is providing additional preparation, education, and resume prep for the afternoon career fair. Participation in the morning workshop is limited. Registration is required. Please indicate on the registration form if you will be participating in the morning workshop.
